Sandblast Abrasive

Granite City Tool Company of Vermont stocks a wide range of abrasives. Nothing stuns granite like steel, for great contrast and whiter panels. Use steel shot for delicate shape carving, especially for fine detail and the whitest natural panels. S-170H is preferred by many for this dual purpose. Dupont Starblast and Staurolite product add greater blasting visibility do to considerably less dust generation. Lower costs through faster, more efficient cleaning and reusability with more uniform blasting pattern. Rounded to sub angular grains results in less abrasive embedment. Material is electronically nonconductive. Lion-Blast (Lionite) is regular brown fused aluminum oxide and is a premium blasting abrasive. Coarse grits are used in monumental sandblast lettering, industrial blasting, steel blasting, and cleaning. Fine grits are used in monumental shape carving and general sandblasting when smooth surface textures are needed. Norton MCA 1360 abrasive is the top-of-the-line super premium stone blasting abrasive. Made from pure aluminum zirconium oxide and will provide consistently superior results. Initially cost more than other abrasives, but very cost effective with its reclaiming value. Norton Stoneblast is a hard durable super premium abrasive made of aluminum zirconium oxide and is our most popular abrasive for full production shop users. Excellent for monumental sandblast lettering and industrial general sandblasting. Slow to break down and is therefore long lasting. ...
